Theresa Cheng, EdM, is a first-year doctoral student studying developmental psychology and neuroscience under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Pfeifer at the University of Oregon. Her current research examines social context and adolescent risk decisions in the Teen Decision Study, as well as adolescent self-evaluation and perceptions of trait malleability in the Transitions in Adolescent Girls Study. She is broadly interested in the role of environmental factors on neurobiological development in the social and affective domain. A former middle and high school teacher, she is also interested in the implications of such research for education.
